DANGERS OF THE MOUNTAIN

The mountains, especially the Mont-Blanc, attract a large number of people. Each year, the valley has a significant number of accidents (mostly climbing but also hiking). Participants, including expert climbers and hikers, are strongly adviced to gather a maximum of information from professionals in the valley (mountain-guides office, weather) or from administrative staff of the school. Albeit classified as technically easy, the ascent of Mont Blanc is not meek (altitude, extreme and brutal weather phenomena, crevasses, rockfall), and is not recommended for unaccompanied beginners and untrained persons. Neither the organizers nor the Ecole de Physique are liable for any accident that may occur.
